River and Fifth Condos At 5 Defries by Broccolini

The innovative development team at Broccolini is poised to bring an exciting new development to Toronto’s trendy and fast-changing Corktown neighbourhood. Broccolini is working with the renowned architectural firm of Graziani + Corazza on the 5 Defries Condos project. Published renderings show a distinctive configuration, consisting of two buildings joined by a common central element. The shorter of the two buildings features a 12-storey mid-rise tower ascending from a glass-dominated, tree-lined podium base, with landscaped greenery adorning the rooftop. The taller building will reach a reported 37 storeys, with the tower elements of both buildings being defined by a smooth, grid-like array of strong, clean vertical and horizontal design features.

Currently, the total number of units and the projected floorplan configurations have not yet been confirmed. Various real estate insiders have estimated the number of suites to fall between 552 and 570 across both buildings.
